Gemma Collins has proudly shown off her weight loss in recent months after dropping an impressive three stone. The Dancing On Ice star attributed her slimmer figure to working out and going vegan but it’s now claimed that The GC has been taking weight loss injections that ‘remove hunger’.
Fans noticed Gemma’s weight loss when she began sharing swimsuit photos on Instagram. After being flooded with compliments about her new body, the 38-year-old replied: ‘Thanks for all your weight loss comments my hard work is defo paying off,’ before adding the hashtags #VeganLifestyle and #EatLifeNotDeath.’
As first revealed by The Sun, Gemma has been taking injections from the company SkinnyJab, who claim their product ‘removes hunger from the equation’. A rep for SkinnyJab confirmed that the TV star is a client and told Metro.co.uk: ‘Gemma has successfully used our weight loss programme.’ However, Gemma’s publicist refused to offer comment.
SkinnyJab insists that their injections regulate glucose which then allows the body to use stored fat for energy. ‘This means that you can safely consume small portions without experiencing the undesired effects of starvation mode,
’ their website states. Under a section about the brand’s safety, the company explains: ‘The SkinnyJab plan is safe in safe hands. Gemma’s been fighting fit in recent months (Picture: Gemma Collins, Instagram) ‘Every client has a face-to-face medical and clinical assessment and a comprehensive health screening with one of our medical professionals.’ The first SkinnyJab programme lasts three weeks and costs £250, while repeat jabs are £135 and last two to four weeks.
It comes just weeks after Gemma threatened to clamp down on false advertisers claiming that she used ‘skinny pills’ to lose weight. In a furious Instagram post, the reality star stated: ‘Lots of people contacting me re certain products thinking I’m using them,’ she captioned the post. ‘My LAWYERS are on to you right now and I look forward to receiving thousands !!!
